About Rodney Woods Jr (Duke).

Rodney is a photographer from Thibodaux, Louisiana.  Woods received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Nicholls State University, where he specialized in photography. His educational background provided him with a solid foundation in the technical and conceptual aspects of photography, further honing his skills and creativity.

With four solo exhibitions, over 15 Vogue Italia feature, and a gallery exhibition at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, Woods has established himself in the photography world. 

Woods is deeply interested in capturing the essence of individuals. He enjoys a mixture of editorial and high contrast black and white portraits, which allows him to highlight the interplay between darkness and illumination, while capturing raw human emotions. This technique emphasizes the beauty of human expressions and emotions, engaging viewers’ senses through visual storytelling.

Woods’ reason for creating art is deeply personal. He believes in expressing gratitude for the opportunity to capture and be a part of his subjects’ experiences.
